When it comes to the world of supercars, limited edition colors are not anything new. Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini, and some have been purveyors of unique and wild colors for years like the Verde Singh on the one-off Lamborghini Veneno. Nevertheless, only few have history as special as XP Green McLaren.
Mimicking XP Green paint, which appeared on McLaren F1 XP GT Longtail special, the new color was basically commissioned by MSO or McLaren Special Operations for a total of 6 McLaren 570GT coupes. Every XP Green car will be finished with Saddle Tan interior leather that comes with green leather inserts in seats and contrast stitching that’s also green. The car’s interior will also be finished with special dedication plaque, which has been affixed to transmission tunnel beneath its infotainment screen.
MSO set its sights on the supercar’s exterior, which will also get Saddle Tan aero pin-stripping for its front splitter, door panel, side skirts, and rear diffuser. Such panels will be either be finished in Dark Palladium or XP Green body color. McLaren will also include subtle Union Jack flag that will be placed at the stripes’ end on the door as a tribute to the British heritage of the car.
The color XP Green will be only available to owners in United Kingdom, the Netherlands, and Germany, and would add monumental $28,305 to the original price of McLaren 570GT. Aside from that, every MSO XP Green McLaren 570GT gets GT Upgrade Pack that includes a car lift, alarm, rear view camera, car cover, Bowers & Wilkins, and set of 5-spoke lightweight forged wheels with Stealth finished. The price of this supercar will start from $254,208.
According to McLaren Automotive Executive Director, Jolyon Nash, they are responsive to the demands for more additional color, personalization, and trim choices.
