Everyone is familiar with Mercedes-AMG G63 and all of its abilities, and without a doubt, this is a truly powerful SUV. But, it seems like a tuning company still feels unsatisfied with its offer so they decided to beef up the model with a bigger and more powerful powertrain. However, you can say that Posaidon, the German aftermarker tuner, did the best thing when they decided to give a revamp to the G63 both in terms of performance and looks.
Dubbed as the Posaidon G63 RS 850, under the hood you will still find the same 5.5 liter biturbo V8 engine. The only difference now is that it has been changed a bit to handle up to 850 horsepower and 995 pound-feet of torque. It allows the car to go from 0 to 62 miles per hour in just 3.6 seconds.
Thanks to its remapped ECU combined with upgraded internals to the 7 speed AMG Speedshift G-Tronic gearbox, the performance upgrade is made possible. Aside from that, the chassis got a little upgrade that now features adaptive damping system with 3 different settings. Mercedes-AMG G63 features 10.5” x 22” alloy set of wheels that come with 285/40R22 high performance tires. This also comes with gold-painted brake calipers like that of less powerful S63 AMG.
When it comes to its cabin, one might be reminded of its exterior with a contrasting yellow stitching and carbon fiber trim. The Solar Beam Yellow paint of the exterior comes from the well-renowned Crazy Color Edition combined with a set of the wheels as well as contrasting gold brake calipers. It was chosen to ensure that the car stands out of a parking lot and in the traffic. Its tuner also gave Posaidon G63 RS 850 its speed camera update than can be installed easily into its online Command navigation system.
