The public has already seen the latest Mercedes G-Class with the optional Night Package, as well as in the AMG G63 specs. This time around, the two have finally come together to give car buffs something refreshingly dark to look forward to.
Not like what was earlier seem on the Edition 1, the latest Night Package has blacked out the housings of the wing-mirror, the turn signals, the trim of the rear and front bumper, the ring surrounding the space wheel carrier, the underbody protection, and the side skirts.
Aside from these, this also tinted the rear windows completed by the wheels of 21 or the optional 22 inches. But, what makes it different from the Edition 1 is the fact that you cannot see any red accents here, and its production is going to be limited to only the specific number that Mercedes will be able to sell.
However, no matter what specific trim package you choose or do not choose, the G63 will remain to be packing the newest 4.0-L twin turbo V8 of AMG that has been tuned to provide a torque of 627 pound feet and 577 hp to all of the four wheels through the 9-speed automatic transmission. It is said that this will be sufficient for hustling this big off roader to 60 miles in a span of 4.4 seconds.
If you feel like all of these are too much for you to handle, you can still opt for the standard G550 and still be able to enjoy the Night Package. In fact, you can also order this up with the AMG appearance pack as well. You can also expect that between the inevitable Maybach and G65 versions, there are going to be more variations on this theme that will be released in the coming years.
