The all new 2019 Mini Hardtop and Convertible do not appear all that different yet look closer and you will find several cool new touches, which add to their personality. Their debut was at 2018 Detroit Auto Show and these vehicles will be the first that would feature new design cues, which would find their way to some mini vehicles. There are some minimal changes upfront that include the new logo of the Mini and modified headlights. The rest appears the same to the pre-refresh car until you get to rear end where the Convertible and Hardtop get new LED taillights that feature Union Jack pattern.
In terms of its interior, 2019 Mini Hardtop and Convertible has some design touches like piano black interior trim with Union Jack, which lights up the same color as an ambient lighting and for Hardtop, there’s a leather upholstery, which is malt brown chesterfield. As with some Mini models, you may customize the Convertible and Hardtop extensively from inside and out with the features like the LED door sill finishers and puddle lights. The Mini also enables you to get more involved with customizing your car through the programs of Mini Yours Customized that enable the owners to get their vehicles exactly as they prefer and add some retrofit products that they could customize on their own.
When it comes to its technology, the vehicles come with the standard 6.5” screen and Bluetooth. There is also an optional touchscreen with 8.8” measurement and navigation that’s available along with the integration of Apple CarPlay. The new technology features include 4G LTE connectivity, second USB port, and a wireless charging pad that’s integrated in the center armrest.
For powertrain options, expect to get the same with Cooper Convertible and Harrdtop that retains 134 horsepower and 1.5L turbo 3-cylinder engine that’s paired with a 6-speed automatic or manual transmission.
