The 3rd generation Cayenne SUV wowed the crowd several weeks ago, but there is another model that left everyone captivated during the Frankfurt Motor Show, none other than the high performance Turbo variant. Porsche is proud to reveal all the hot details you might want to know about 2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo, including its specs that are enough to make some sports car tremble in their spot.
The latest Cayenne Turbo runs on the new twin-turbo 4.0-liter V-8 of Porsche, which is similar to Panamera Turbo’s 550 hp and 567 lb-ft of torque. This serves as a significant improvement to the 14 lb-feet and 30hp over the earlier model that boasted of a twin-turbo 4.8-liter V-8.
Its engine is combined with the 8-speed Tiptronic S automatic transmission that routes power to all the four wheels through the company’s Porsche Traction Management all-wheel-drive system. The setup is great for 0 to 60 mph in a matter of 3.9 seconds in a standard trim or 3.7 sec with Sport Chrono package, which raises the top speed to 177 mph.
Cayenne Turbo gets an exceptional treatment, which includes wider air inlets in front fascia, special 21” alloy wheel in staggered fitment wrapped in 315/35 rear and 285/40 front tires, and a quad-tipped exhaust. It also has LED headlights that have projector lamps that are arranged by four, which is a design theme that’s often found on high performance Porsche models. Like the typical Cayenne, the interior of the Turbo offers Porsche Advanced Cockpit 12.3” instrument cluster screen. Cayenne Turbo also has seats that can be adjusted in 18 ways and comes with integrated head rests, heated seats, and heated steering wheel.
2019 Porsche Cayenne Turbo will arrive next fall and would be available to order in US this 2017. Its price will start at $125,650.
