The Frontier midsize truck proves once again that age is just a number as Nissan announced some updates for 2018 model year. This is said to include the integration of several new standard features include the cruise control of 5 inches, Bluetooth connectivity, a rearview camera, and air conditioning. The base King Cab model will come with 5-speed manual transmission and 4-cylinder engine. As for the 4-wheel drive models, you can expect them to come standard with optional V-6 engine, all of which will be available from SV trim and above.
Aside from the latest standard features, the company’s 2018 Nissan Frontier will also be getting the special Midnight Edition model complete with the gloss black grille, black step rails, black alloy wheels of 18 inches, black door handles and side mirror covers, body colored rear and front bumpers, black badges, and the optional Midnight Edition floor mats. The upcoming Frontier Midnight Edition is only going to be available in the Crew Cab guise in the rear or the 4-wheel drive configuration and just with the 5-speed automatic transmission. This will also be made available with a total of three color options namely Glacier White, Gun Metallic, and Magnetic Black.
The 2018 Frontier will be having the usual base engine which is at 152 horsepower 2.5 liter I-4 combined with either the 5-speed automatic transmission or the 5-speed manual transmission. However, this is not yet made available with the four wheel drive. There is also an optional 4.0-liter V-6 combined with 281 lb-ft of torque and 261 horsepower on the higher grades, and this also comes paired to either a 5 speed automatic or a 6 speed manual.
With these new standard changes and upgrades, you can expect to have a more seamless and convenient ride with the 2018 Nissan Frontier.
