BMW M2 Competition is the new animal thanks to G-Power. It is already a beast with its 3.0L turbo inline-6 borrowed from M4 producing 405hp and 406 pound-foot of torque. However, that has not stopped the different aftermarket tuners from getting power from a coupe with high performance level.
G-Power is the newest tuner to have a go in improving M2 Competition with new performance kit, which offers exceptional results. If you cannot wait for the new M4, BMW M2 Competition is a worthy alternative.
G-Power modified turbochargers, which added stainless steel exhaust system, made some adjustments, and remapped ECU. Due to such modifications, BMW M2 Competition now generates an amazing 680 horsepower and 634 pound-foot of torque, which means 3L twin-turbo, 6-cylinder delivers additional 229 pound-foot of torque and 266 horsepower in comparison to the stock version.
The extra muscle provides BMW M2 Competition a supercar performance level. With the G-Power of BMW M2 Competition, it only takes 3.2 seconds to reach 0-62mph and maxes out the 205mph, which is a full second faster than the standard BMW M2 Competition and about 30mph quicker in comparison to BMW M2 Competition with M Driver’s Package. Aside from that, another impressive thing about this car is that it is just 0.2 seconds slower compared to 661 horsepower Ferrari 488 GTB that has the same top speed. In addition, G-Power provides a coilover suspension, which boosts handle. It also features twenty-inch forged wheels.
The whole package basically costs $22,467 in the country of Germany. That is on top of the M2 Competition’s base price that brings the overall cost about $80,000. It’s around the same cost of M4 Competition. However, it is a good value for your hard-earned investment since M2 Competition is more powerful. But, the choice is still yours.
