BMW M GmbH makes five M4 GTS cars every single day as these vehicles are assembled by hand in absolutely the same factory where the models M6 GT3 and M135i Cup are made too.
It's not like the German automobile company cannot really afford to make more per day given the fact it's only building 700 of the same, however they guys working at BMW prefer the old school method to any other nevertheless that the assembly process would be sped up if using a classic production line anyway.
These details were given away when the Managing Director of BMW's M branch Frank van Meel took the wraps off the hand-assembled model M4 GTS in a recent Dutch interview at the De Telegraaf's Autovisie.
This special car leaves the company as a typical M4 Coupe but enters the BMW workshops so as to become anything it could possibly be.
According to the same report, the new M4 GTS will soon be sold out so anyone who is interested in having it had better go and contact their local BMW importer. About 300 of the total 700 M4 GTS that have been released are bound for USA, as 50 of them are heading towards Canada while the remaining 30 are reserved for the United Kingdom. There are roughly 350 still remaining units promised for the world markets where the series will be available for all buyers.
The new limited edition BMW M4 GTS is expected to be delivered no earlier than in summer 2016. The production line is bound to start then as the assembling of the latest edition is scheduled for March 2016. Due to the limited line production and rates, the BMW company will wrap it all up even before reaching 2017.
The limited edition is thought to be the fastest ever road car built by the German automobile company. The BMW's M4 GTS model can be packed with a special Clubsport Package, featuring a 6-point seatbelt, a roll bar with an “Acid Orange” finish as well as an on-board fire extinguisher.
